The best time to visit Boracay.
Aside
from summer months (which is March to May), the months of September and October
are the best months to visit Boracay. It is the time of the year when there is
little or no rainfall and also a season when the cold north-easterly wind (Amihan)
embraces the island. During these months, the waters of White Beach is often
glassy-smooth while the waters under the Bulabog Beaches is ideal for
windsurfing and kite-boarding.
Leisure activities
Boracay is also an ideal place for scuba
diving, snorkeling, and cliff diving. With its’ white sugary/powdery sand matched
by its’ silky blue waters, the island is a best spot for resort spas and beach
relaxation. The island is also the site of an 18-hole par 72 golf course
designed by the famous Australian golfer Graham Marsh.
In addition, Boracay offers a wide range of hotels,
hostels, restaurants, bars, and nightclubs.
How to get there, directions to
Boracay
If you are living outside the Philippines,
take a flight to Manila.
From Manila, take another flight going to
Caticlan or Kalibo. Ideally, it is best that you take the Caticlan flight instead
of Kalibo . Caticlan Airport is a lot closer to Boracay Island as compared to
Kalibo Airport.
If in case you will take the Kalibo flight,
you will need another two hours of land travel from the Airport.
Airfare going to Kalibo is less expensive as
compared to airfare going to Caticlan. Whether you are taking Kalibo or
Caticlan flights, we suggest that you take SeaAir (South East Asian Airlines)
since they will provide you will all the necessary assistance (including
transfers) until you reach Boracay Island.
